CONVINCED. Product Desk has introduced Moku, a countertop device that turns ingredients already in the fridge into just three dinner ideas. Instead of scrolling through hundreds of recipes, it narrows the choice to a short list for tonight.
To use it, place tags for the ingredients you want to use beside the device and turn its round dial. Based on combinations such as eggs, tofu and greens, Moku displays three quick options on a paper-like screen: stir-fry in ten minutes, simmer in one pot or serve over rice.
There is no need to log every item in the fridge or take a photo of it. Moku works with the ingredients selected by tag; after dinner, turn the dial to “Tomorrow” and the next set of suggestions makes room for leftovers. Its low-power e-paper display keeps the menu visible, while the meal-selection process stays on the device.
The device comes with 12 ingredient tags and is priced at ¥8,800, tax included. Preorders are set to open on Nov. 1, with an initial run of 500 units. Moku is designed for the moment when a short conversation beats another long scroll through “What should we eat tonight?”
